WEConnect Community Services works with both long-time residents and newcomers to Canada, helping them settle and integrate within a new culture. When we empower women, we empower the entire family, creating a ripple effect that fosters strength and resilience in the community. We educate on the rights gained from being residents and citizens of Canada, ensuring that all members understand their entitlements and responsibilities. Additionally, we provide comprehensive advice on housing, financial literacy, and employment opportunities, while guiding our members to flourish in a new country filled with diverse opportunities.
Our programs actively keep our members engaged within their local communities, offering regular workshops and social gatherings, including participation in the largest multicultural festival – Carassauga at the India Pavilion, India Independence Day celebrations, Diwali, and Bollywood movie nights, all of which enhance their sense of belonging. We provide our members a platform to share their experiences and stories, showcase their unique skills, and immerse themselves in both Canadian and individual cultures, ultimately making meaningful connections with other members that can lead to friendships and collaborations. This holistic approach not only aids in their adaptation but also empowers them to contribute positively to society while embracing their heritage.
Our Services hosts India’s Pavilion annually during the Carassauga Festival of Cultures.
